1974 Ford Bronco Explorer, Automatic, Disc Brake on 2040-cars
Bella Vista, Arkansas, United States
Up for auction is a very nice 74 Bronco Explorer. 302ci, automatic C4 trans. 3.50 gear, power steering, disc front brakes.
This Bronco starts, runs, drives and shifts very well. 4 wheel drive works as it should with PTO. All gauges work, holds 40+ psi oil pressure and maintains a temp of 180*. Blinkers are not working at this time but all other lights work; head/marker/parking. There are no RUST issues. Both front floor pans have been replaced professionally and look great. The top is also rust free and in great shape with tented windows. The Bronco comes with a disc brake conversion that works flawlessly. New upper and lower ball joints, new lower door seals, new lift gate seals, new rear main fuel tank and sending unit. Fresh Medium Blue Metallic paint that is not perfect but looks very nice some minor flaws. Tires look new but are around three years old. No aux. fuel tank but does have filler tube and cap. Comes with spare tire swing gate and rear seat. (white) Neither are installed. Over all this is a very nice Bronco inside and out. With many options like; cut and flare it, lift it, put larger tires on it, top off and roll bar ect.... Clear title in my name. Call/text/email after 3pm Tues. thru Fri. Anytime Sat. thru Mon. Ford ST Octane Academy [w/video]
Wed, 04 Jun 2014
The ST school is about more than just handbrake turns, hot laps, and sliding into parking spaces.
I felt like such a rock star. On my second pass around the UrbanCross course (read: fancy autocross) at the Ford ST Octane Academy, I absolutely nailed the exit, sliding the bright-yellow Focus ST sideways into a box the size of a parking space, all four wheels in line.
Auto critic calls out Corvette, Mustang and Cherokee faithful
Mon, 26 Aug 2013Most automotive purists fear change, but not without reason. Change, after all, did kill big-block V8s, along with most station wagons and manual transmissions. But change has also brought with it far more performance, safety and fuel economy - not to mention ridding the world of shag carpet interiors, bias-ply tires and those horrible motorized seatbelts of the early '90s.
By this time next year, the Chevy Corvette, Jeep Cherokee and next-generation Ford Mustang will all be on sale and will all, in some way, have angered or offended purists. To those critics, Mark Phelan of the Detroit Free Press is preemptively telling them to stop complaining - at least until they've all been driven. From the Corvette's square taillights and the Cherokee's radical nose to whatever pony car purists will harp on the 2015 Mustang for, Phelan's column points out the positives of automotive evolution and the negatives of staying the course for too long. That's fair enough, but do you think Phelan is on point, or all wet? Head on over to the Detroit Free Press to read his words, then have your say in Comments.
Ford gives S-Max the Vignale treatment in Milan
Wed, 09 Apr 2014Ford has a bit of a history in reviving the names of old coachbuilders it has long since gobbled up and using them to distinguish its top-of-the-line models in Europe. That's what it did for years with Ghia, and after having replaced it several years ago with the Titanium trim level, now it's doing it again with Vignale.
At the Frankfurt Motor Show last year, Ford revealed the Mondeo Vignale concept in both sedan and wagon body-styles, which are set to reach production next year. But before they do, the Blue Oval automaker is at it again, applying similar upgrades to the S-Max minivan and unveiling it in concept form in Milan this week.
Setting the Vignale concept apart from any other S-Max is its Milano Grigio rose-hued silver pearlescent paint, 21-inch alloys, chrome trim and hexagonal-pattern grille. Inside it's all ultra-soft quilted leather and aluminum trim, with tablet docking stations in the back and thinner, more flexible seats than the existing production version.
