Up for auction is this great 2003 Ford P71 Police Interceptor. It is in great condition. Only has one area that's damaged. The front drivers side fender is damaged. I hydroplaned and bumped a guard rail. There is no other damage and the car is very solid. There are the usual scratches, dings, dents, and chips for a police car. There is also marks from the police decals. The interior looks near mint! There is also surface rust on the roof and in a few other spots. The damaged fender that I mentioned above also has rusted through at the bottom. Mechanically the car runs great and only has approx. 122,000 miles on it. The engine runs smooth, and the transmission shifts smoothly. May need new brake pads and may need a set on new tires for winter. This is great solid car with many years of life left in it! Clear and clean title. I have the title in hand! Buyer is responsible for any inspections and is responsible for shipping. $500.00 deposit due with in 24 hours of auction close and full payment is due with in 7 days of auction close, unless other arrangements are made. Feds open investigation into Chevy Express, Ford Freestar rust issues
Wed, 28 Dec 2011'Tis the season... for road salt. And with that, comes rust. And what does rust bring? Well, for Ford and General Motors, a National Highway Traffic Safety Administration investigation. According to The Detroit News, NHTSA is looking into potential recalls issues with Chevrolet Express vans and Ford Freestar minivans.
The feds have received five complaints that rust has caused leaking fuel filler pipes on 2003 Express vans. Separately, seven complaints have been filed over excessive rust in the rear wheel wells of 2004 Ford Freestar and Mercury Monterey minivans. The Freestar and Monterey went out of production in 2007. Neither issue has resulted in any crashes or injuries, according to the report.
Airbag recall widens to include BMW, Chrysler, Ford and Toyota
Mon, 23 Jun 2014The recall of faulty airbag inflators supplied by Takata has exploded today to grow to seven automakers. In most cases, only models in certain high-humidity regions were affected because the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration found in its investigation that moisture played a roll in determining whether there would be a problem. However, some companies opted for national campaigns. The exact number of affected models for these campaigns isn't yet known at this time.
BMW is recalling an undisclosed number of 325i, 325Xi, 330i and 330Xi models from the 2001 through 2005 model years and the 2001-2006 model year versions of the 325Ci and 330Ci for the driver side and passenger side inflators. Only vehicles currently registered in Florida, Puerto Rico, Hawaii and the US Virgin Islands are covered under this recall.
Neither Chrysler's filing with NHTSA nor its press release list the specific models affected, but a company spokesperson told Autoblog that at this time it only covers the driver and passenger side inflators for the 2006 Dodge Charger in Florida, Puerto Rico, Hawaii and the US Virgin Islands
