Ford Explorer Sport Suv 4-door on 2040-cars
Ponca City, Oklahoma, United States
Turbocharged V6, DVD, Dual Panel roof, premium sound, premium wheels and every option. Retail on KBB it is 38,900 only because of mileage. One dealer on eBay has this same car half thre mileage for 42,500. So please look at the window sticker, look at the options before considering one that "looks like this one". These are very hard to find and there is only one other available on eBay. Also note the 3 year/ 36K parts and service warranty has expired due to mileage, the 36k mile limit reached the threshold before years (with Ford it is either mileage or years whichever comes first) so parts and service are not included in the warranty but the 100k powertrain warranty is still in full effect through Ford Motor Company. There is no curb rash on any of the tires or wheels. Other options to note include heated seats, satelitte radio (sirius), HID Headlamps, LED illuminated throughout, passenger and rear temperature controls. Airbags include front dual, side and knee air bags. I paid over 53,000 for this vehicle 17 months ago and that didnt include tax or tags.

40+ cars that barely avoid the gas guzzler tax
Thu, 24 Jul 2014
The Gas Guzzler schedule, with mpg ratings and charges that haven't changed since 1991, lays out which fuel-swillers owe what to Uncle Sam.
I started thinking about the "Gas Guzzler Tax" - considerably less well known as The Energy Tax Act of 1978 - when I was driving Dodge's new Challenger SRT Hellcat last week. Unsurprisingly for a car that can burn 1.5 gallons of gas per minute at max tilt, theoretically able to empty a full tank of premium in about 13 minutes, the Hellcat will be subject to the Gas Guzzler Tax schedule when it goes on sale.

Watch this lead sled go rallying in Finland
Thu, 19 Jun 2014Custom cars generally fit into neat little boxes in terms of how they are used. For example, you're unlikely to see a modded Corvette going rock crawling; it's just not what it's made for (though we bet it'd look awesome, for a minute). In the same way, chopped, channeled and customized '50s hot rods aren't really meant to go racing. They look great and go fast, but they are generally more cruisers than sports cars.
However, if this video is any indication, the people of Finland don't adhere in these stereotypes, because this rodder is happy to play in the dirt with his lead sled.
According to the video, the driver is a member of the Ford-Freak Club of Finland, and he clearly knows how to have some fun. Possibly inspired by his country's great rally drivers, he gets the tail way out going around this gently curving gravel track. The stunt is somewhat reminiscent of the stock cars races on the sand at Daytona Beach, and this is probably close to what it sounded like too. Scroll down to watch a very cool Finn getting his hot rod a little dirty.
