You are bidding on a 1989 GMC Jimmy 4X4. This Jimmy was converted to a full convertible by Parker Cadillac in Little Rock Arkansas 2 years ago using the top from a 1973 Jimmy. They used a complete 1973 Jimmy, all measurements were taken off that truck to the millimeter. The conversion looks factory. The truck was professional painted 7 months ago and is in immaculate condition with no dents, rust or scratches. The soft top is in perfect condition and is less than a year old. The drive train is a fuel injected 350 automatic with overdrive. The inside of the truck had the carpet removed and rubber flooring was professionally installed for easy cleaning. Seats are out of a 2003 Tahoe for 3 point seat belt, but the original seats come with the truck. Jimmy has a custom roll bar, all steel cowl hood, new 32 inch wheels, new shocks all the way around, new true dual exhaust, new wheel bearings, brakes and rotors, new front and rear bumpers . The outside of the hard top was professionally Rhino lined and looks new. All power windows and locks work. New blue tooth radio. AC blows cold. GM tinkering with Silverado, Sierra model mix amidst strong early sales
Mon, 04 Nov 2013Variety, as they say, is the spice of life. That's a lesson that is currently being taught to General Motors, because despite a strong showing from its 2014 Chevrolet Silverado and GMC Sierra, the General's pickup sales still can't best those of cross-town rival Ford.
With 59,163 trucks moved, GM fell just over 1,000 units short of toppling Ford, and one of the main reasons for that, according to GM's chief sales analyst, was due to a lack of variety in the engines and body styles available on dealer lots. "We are still over-weighted toward crew-cab V8 trucks. Our light-duty mix will moderate over time as our launch progresses," said Kurt McNeil.
Loading dealers with the popular combination of the 5.3-liter V8 and the four-door, Crew Cab body style was intentional during the truck's launch, but as supplies of leftover 2013 models, which are being sold at heavy incentives, are beginning to wane, both budget-conscious and high-dollar buyers are looking elsewhere instead of at the volume model pickups.

When putting a car seat in, car seat manufacturers require that at least 80 percent of the seat's base fit on the bottom cushion. That's a big problem in extended-cab pickups like the Canyon, which feature jump seats with shorter bottom cushions, in place of the larger, more traditionally designed bench.
The Canyon gets around this with extendable jump seats - simply pop out the headrest and slot it into the bottom seat cushion, and the truck can now easily accommodate a child's seat.

According to local news reports, a representative from Palmen Motors visited Harold and Christen Thomsen's home to collect signatures for a loan agreement three weeks before the 89-year-old, legally blind Harold passed away. The World War II veteran was on morphine and in hospice when he signed for the GMC, and his 90-year-old wife suffers from dementia. Even so, upon being discovered, the dealer initially said everything was done "legally." According to Barb Tinkler, McMurray's sister, the sale was a scam that remained hidden until he was busted for an unrelated criminal charge.
