Hello everyone, up for sale is my absolutely stunning black on black 1992 Mercedes Benz 600SEL. My grandpa originally purchased the car for $140,000 from Simonson Mercedes-Benz Santa Monica in 1992 ($240,000 in today’s money) and still feels like a 6-digit car. He kept the car in his private car collection within his mansion in Beverly Hills nearly its entire life. Inside the garage was temperature and humidity controlled. He was the original owner, and gave me the car earlier this year as he is not able to drive anymore. I have hardly driven her since I took possession, she has been inside my garage most of the time, although I do take her out at least once a week for a short drive around the block. Car is an accident-free California car, absolutely zero rust anywhere on the car. This car includes every single option equipped for the 92 model year, she's fully loaded. The S-Class is Mercedes’s flagship model, and this was the first of their new model generation, the W140 (V140 for these long wheelbase models). Mercedes spent over a billion dollars on developing this car, and they had something to prove when they put this car out. It wasn’t designed to compete with BMW and Lexus, but rather with Rolls-Royce and Bentley. The V12 6.0 Liter engine was most powerful for the 92 model year, as emission restrictions that took place in 93 forced Mercedes to cut power. This version has a whopping 408 horsepower and 428 lb-ft. of torque propelling this beast from 0-60 in around 5.5 seconds. This same engine block is still used by some supercar manufacturers, such as Pagani, which has used tuned versions of the engine for its Zonda supercars. That being said, you hardly feel how fast you are going while driving this car. It provides the ultimate in comfort. The interior is simply cavernous, and provides massive comfort even with all the seats occupied. Rear passengers are in for a treat as they have power seats as well as seat warmer and coolers (which of course the front seats have as well, along with full lumbar support). This car was built during the time when Mercedes spent no expense in building their cars. Every single item on the vehicle is made by the finest materials. Even the new Mercedes of today can not compare. While most of Mercedes' cars today feel machine built and soulless, this vehicle truly feels hand built and assembled to the highest standards.
The car runs absolutely flawlessly, a testament to how meticulously well kept and maintained this car has been. ALWAYS garaged, always taken in for service at least twice a year. Every problem area with this car has been looked at and taken care of. This includes the horrible eco-wiring harness that Mercedes were putting on their cars in the early 90’s. If this job isn’t done you’re looking at around a $6k job to get the entire wiring replaced. Also taken care of is the hydraulic suspension system. I just had the car serviced at Mr. MB Motors here in Tarzana, they went through the car and changed: -Oil and filter changed -Transmission fluid and filters changed -Vaccum hoses replaced
Brakes and Brake Rotors Replaced
This car still demands respect on the road. It is refined class, without being boisterous about it. I guarantee you won’t be disappointed when you see her. Everything is original, with the exception of the stereo system being upgraded completely (was a $3k job to get everything done properly) and Bluetooth integration has also been added for hands-free communication. Every single electronic still works on the car, which is a testament how no expense was spared on maintaining the vehicle. Registration has just been paid for until 2015, I also just got the car smogged (it of course passed easily). Take a look at the AutoCheck report to verify the car has had no accidents and the mileage is correct. Clean California title is on hand; everything is prepared for a caring new owner to take possession! Please feel free to ask me any questions about the car. I also have the car up for sale locally, so I reserve the right to cancel this auction at any time. If you would like to come see the car before the auction ends, I will gladly help set up a viewing at the best convenience for both of us. Feel free to bring your mechanic to take a look at her as well.Sorry for the low-quality pics, I will try and post better ones later on.

The all-new 2014 Mercedes-Benz S-Class, designated W222, is one of the most highly anticipated debuts of its model year. Every generation of the flagship sedan has broken new ground in technology and innovation for the entire industry, and the German automaker appears determined to raise the bar much further with its latest arrival as it promises to deliver "the best automobile in the world." Mercedes-Benz has just released nearly two dozen interior images of the new sedan, showing off style in design, craftsmanship in execution and pioneering advancements in technology.
Unlike all previous generations - the first S-Class officially arrived in 1972 - the 2014 model completely discards a traditional instrument cluster and replaces it with two high-resolution color displays in 8:3 format with a screen diagonal of 12.3 inches (the outgoing model's gauges were a mix of digital and analog). The left unit displays traditional analog gauges (digitally, of course) while the right unit is reserved for infotainment and comfort settings with the automaker's all-new mBrace2 - a cloud-based entertainment and information delivery system that is rolling out this year.

It happens every year. We bid adieu to some cars and trucks that will be missed, and say good riddance to others wondering how they stayed around so long. Whether they're being killed off for slow sales or due to a new product coming along to replace them, the list of vehicles being discontinued after 2012 is surprisingly long and diverse.
CNN Money has compiled a list of departing vehicles, to which we've added a few more of our own. In the slow sales column, cars like the Lexus HS 250h, Mercedes-Benz R-Class and the full Maybach lineup appear, while the Ford Escape Hybrid, Mazda CX-7 and Hyundai Veracruz are all having their gaps filled with more modern and more fuel-efficient alternatives. Obvious exceptions to the rule include models that still sell in decent numbers like the Jeep Liberty and the Chrysler Town & Country (which will eventually be replaced by a crossover-like vehicle).
Check out our gallery of discontinued cars above, then scroll down for more information.

Mentioned at the debut of the redesigned Mercedes-Benz E-Class back in January, Mercedes has finally pulled back the curtain on the E63 AMG S, which was on display at the New York Auto Show in wagon guise. The 2014 E63 AMG S ups the ante even more from a "base" E63 AMG, improving the car's performance and styling - not that it needed help with either to begin with.
Our favorite S-model upgrade is the added output tweaked out of the 5.5-liter twin-turbo V8 producing 577 horsepower and 590 pound-feet of torque, which represents a substantial gain of 27 hp and 59 lb-ft of torque over the stock E63. In wagon form, the E63 AMG S can run from 0-60 miles per hour in just 3.6 seconds and hit an electronically limited top speed of 186 mph. All 2014 E63 AMGs come with Mercedes' 4Matic all-wheel-drive system, but the S-Model adds in a limited-slip rear differential for improved performance.
Mercedes has made sure that the extra money being spent on the S-Model is instantly noticeable with slightly different design cues and black along with 10-spoke wheels with red brake calipers peeking through. Plenty of silver-chrome and high-gloss black accents finish off the exterior styling, while the interior adds Alcantara on the steering wheel, accent stitching on the leather and contrasting silver seat belts on models with the black interior. Scroll down for an official video and press release.
