1995 Nissan 240sx Se Coupe 2-door 6.0 Lq9 T56 430hp Must See ! on 2040-cars
Raleigh, North Carolina, United States
Please note that the hyperbolic NASCAR theme is open to change, meaning that a serious buyer can opt to have the car stripped and painted for a to-be-negotiated rate ( I have several avenues with pre arranged rates depending on your budget ). I understand the look isn't for everyone. I restrained myself from the "all Rocket Bunny everything" avenue to pursue something sillier, more DIY and easier on the wallet. Let it be known that I am aware of how cool it would be, and if it had been finished that way, the price tag would be higher. Nothing would please me more than a 285 / 335 r comp contact patch and a high compression 408ci build, but that's what the Corvette is for. On to a quick mod list: Chassis: Energy Suspension bushings all over the place aluminum subframe collars Megan Racing Coilovers Godspeed RUCAS Godspeed tension rods Z32 tie rods Megan FLCA's Z32 TT front brakes drilled rotors and Hawk HPS pads OEM SE rear LSD 18x9.5 +20 all around 30mm /12mm front hubcentric spacers extended studs and locking lugs 235/40 front, 265 rear Powertrain: 6.0 LQ9 - 90k miles F-body T56 - no grinds or pop outs Spec III sprung clutch 13 lb Fidanza aluminum flywheel SLP shifter FAST fuel rails ported LS6 intake manifold & C5Z throttle body Sikky mount kit, 1 3/4 wrapped LT's and driveshaft custom X pipe and magnaflow resonator custom intake off the shelf Texas Speed cam upgraded valve springs and pushrods Koyo radiator and dual e-efans tuned on HP Tuners Cosmetics: super strong garden supply lip, side skirts and spoiler plenty of rivets and decals modified BRE rear overfenders OEM foglights generic race wheel with Bowtie Audi Amulet Red paint matte clearcoat With 70k on the odo, a perfect two owner Carfax, rust free southern pedigree and OBD1 regulations to boot, this car has a wide appeal. Nissan Zeod RC crash test looks like crushing the tip on a pencil
Fri, 16 May 2014Nissan has already showed us the 1.5-liter, three-cylinder engine 400 horsepower and 280 pound-feet of torque, augmented by an electric motor, that sits in back of the ZEOD RC headed for the 24 Hours of Le Mans. At the ZEOD RC's other end is a carbon fiber crash structure that has to be tested against an immovable object, and Nissan has seen fit to show us that, too.
You know what to expect if you've seen a crash test before, but the really pointy nose on this car reminds us of a Faber Castell HB pencil being sent to its death. Better yet, it's in slow motion, and you can watch it below.
Nissan NV200 finds new work as ambulance, Gibson guitar repair truck
Thu, 28 Mar 2013We live in a world now where not every police cruiser and taxi is a Ford Crown Victoria, not every executive car is a Lincoln Town Car and not every ambulance is based on a Ford Econoline van. Vehicles like the new Nissan NV200 are making inroads into the service, livery and emergency vehicle markets, and we've got a couple cases in point to share.
The first one is a fleet of 30 new ambulances based on the heavier-duty NV2500 chassis. They are entering the Mexican Red Cross fleet of emergency vehicles this year after performing well in pilot tests last year. The Mexican Red Cross says it receives 1,200,000 ambulance service requests per year, so the mettle of these new machines will be tested in a hurry.
The second example is less useful for life-saving, but may save a guitar from going to the scrap heap. Called the Gibson NV200 Mobile Repair & Restoration Van, it can take the services of an authorized Gibson rep anywhere they're needed to repair or restore an axe in need. The van features a whole aesthetic designed to evoke the classic Gibson look, with wood veneer and shades of brown and black used throughout. There's a guitar rack that holds four instruments, a sliding 56-inch long repair table, toolbox, genuine Gibson stools and a sound system by Gibson Pro Audio.
2014 Nissan Rogue
Fri, 01 Nov 2013When I first started in this whole automotive journalism biz, I held a sort of hodgepodge receptionist/gopher/production assistant role, and each morning as the staff filed in, I'd ask them how they liked whatever car they were assigned to drive the previous night. Most of my colleagues would regale me with anecdotes about how good or bad a vehicle was, but one co-worker, every single morning, would answer my query with the exact same phrase: "It was fine."
I always assumed this was just a brush-off, an "ask me again after I've had a cup of coffee" sort of response. But then I found myself in a similar moment of brevity following the launch of the 2014 Nissan Rogue earlier this week. After returning home, a friend asked me what I thought of the new Rogue, and I replied, word for word, "It was fine."
And, well, it was. Nothing worth wasting exclamation points over, good or bad. Aside from something like the interesting-to-drive Mazda CX-5 or funky-looking Jeep Cherokee, nothing in this class really tries to set the world on fire. And that, right there, is fine. Nissan doesn't need to do anything crazy with its second-generation Rogue. It just needs to offer a well-equipped crossover that's handsome, functional, efficient and priced right - sticking to the same formula that made the first-generation model so successful while offering the latest crop of creature comforts in a more modern package.
