1979 Trans Am Silver Anniversary rare 4 speed example in amazing original condition with only 80k honest miles
since new. This car is not concourse, but was super well maintained throughout its life, and runs and drives great.
It is very hard to find an original in this condition, especially since they have recently shot up in value, and
show no signs of stopping. How many things in this life can you
honestly say that about? It comes with a build sheet as well as a PHS report. The seats are in great
condition, showing hardly any wear except for some marks where the seat belts have rubbed on. All carpets are in
great condition and have been protected by mats as shown in the photos. The interior is in excellent original
condition and shows well with no fading. The headliner and the mirror finish t-tops are still in beautiful
condition All the rubbers are in good condition with hardly any age related issues. The exhaust is new and the
undercarriage shows extremely well. The paint on the car shows no fading and presents well. All the screaming eagle
transfers as well as other decals and stripes are almost perfect. All the panels line up great and there is
absolutely no evidence of previous accidents and repairs as far as I can determine. The dash and instruments are as
new with no discoloration or fading. The machined Aluminum is as new. There are some minor time related surface
rust spots on the undercarriage. The engine bay is in amazing original condition and shows well as does the
underneath of the hood. The motor pulls strong and the transmission and suspension function as they should. The
Turbine wheels are also in amazing condition.

Sci-fi movie Jinn features car designer, Firebird-bodied Camaro
Tue, 08 Apr 2014If you're an automotive engineer being tormented by an immortal being made of fire, then wouldn't you think it best to have a custom coupe called the FireBreather for your getaway car? That's the FireBreather in the image above, adorned by the red wings that once fronted the Pontiac Firebird, running away from a black cloud of evil in a trailer for the movie Jinn.
The Jinn is eternal evil, always waiting for the chance to make things float across rooms before going on homicidal urban rampages. The FireBreather is a Gen-V Chevrolet Camaro - from the V6 to the ZL1 - that's been through Classic Design Concepts' extensive list of exterior and interior modifications, including entirely new front and rear fascias and side skirts, sway bars and springs, Pirelli P Zeroes and an available Edelbrock supercharger.
The movie - FireBreathing chase scenes and all - was shot in Monroe, Michigan. You can watch the trailer below, but since the FireBreather only get a couple of seconds on screen, you can find out more about it on Street Legal TV and its official site.
1939 Pontiac Ghost Car commands $308,000 at auction
Mon, 01 Aug 2011For the 1939 World's Fair, Pontiac built a Deluxe Six bodied in Plexiglass. Part of the Previews of Progress pavilion in which General Motors' Futurama showed off what was to come in the world of autos, the 'invisible' Pontiac is credited as the first transparent car in America. And there were no shortcuts taken with its body: the Plexiglass form was fabricated by the company that brought the material to market in 1933, Rohm & Haas.
The see-through sedan was sold at RM Auctions' St. John's auction in Michigan on July 30, fetching $308,000. Not bad appreciation for a domestic oddity that cost $25,000 to build when new. You can check out the high-res gallery of its innards, including copper and chrome metalwork and white moldings and wheels, and get the exhaustive details on it after the jump.
GM expands ignition switch recall to over 1.3 million cars amid climbing death toll
Tue, 25 Feb 2014
588,000 Saturn Sky, Saturn Ion, Pontiac Solstice and Chevy HHR models join the 778,000 cars already being recalled.
General Motors has announced a massive expansion of a 778,000-unit recall we told you about two weeks ago, doubling not only the total number of cars affected but expanding the recall beyond Chevrolet Cobalt and Pontiac G5 models previously mentioned. The recall originally centered around ignition switches that could slip out of the "run" position if jostled or if any weight was applied to the key in the cylinder.
