Reluctantly selling my 1983 911 SC. I have
owned this car for 3 years and put a total of 2300 miles on it.This is a rare ruby red with burgundy interior, a stunning color combination. It is very hard to find a true low
mileage Sc that really needs nothing.
*INTERIOR*
The interior is in fabulous condition due to its legitimately low miles.
Seats are tight with only the drivers seat having minimal bolster wear, passenger seat is like new.
Dash is in mint condition with no warps and is very tight around the AC vents.
Carpets are lush with very little wear if any, they have always been fitted with factory over mats.
Over mats are also in excellent condition due to the low miles.
Headliner is in great condition.
Door panels and pockets are in great condition with minimal wear.
Steering wheel is still wearing its factory leather and stitching.
Sun visors in great shape still firm not puffy
*EXTERIOR*
Two year only Ruby Red Metallic paint.
Fog light delete
Been repainted once with Glasurit Base and Clear. (comes with touch up paint)
The job was a high end all glass out, bumpers off etc
Paint has a deep gloss with very few flaws.
All glass is all original including Sigla wind shield. There are a few very small chips in wind shield not worthy
of replacement.
H4 NOS BOSCH headlights (Mint)
All lights and lenses are in perfect condition.
There is ZERO rust on the vehicle.
Been garaged and used sparingly its whole life.
Fuch wheels are in excellent condition with no curb damage
Original wheels locks perfect with 2 keys and all caps
*ENGINE*
Numbers matching 3.0
Pulls cleanly to redline
Does not leak any oil at all
Pressure fed tensioners and pop off valve were fitted early in its life
Engine is clean and tidy
Fan was zinc chromated and powder coated to curb corrosion
Recent (within 1000 miles) service ie valve adjustment, oil/ fuel filter etc.
No smoke at start up
Minimal oil usage, less than half quart per 1000 miles
Still has the factory catalytic converter and heat shield in place
O2 sensor working as it should

2014 Porsche 911 GT3 and GT3 Cup step out early

Mon, 04 Mar 2013

Though Porsche won't be feeding us the full 911 enchilada until tomorrow's Geneva-based festivities, we have managed to scare up some official images of the 2014 911 GT3, as well as the all-new 911 GT3 Cup. As Porsche is celebrating 50 years of the 911, we anticipate a good day for great cars.
The new GT3 looks every bit the proper successor to the racy 911 nameplate, with a fixed rear wing large enough to serve cocktails on, a curvaceous body kit and 20-inch wheels that offer a dominating on-road stance. It's a good bet that Porsche will have coaxed something like 450 horsepower from the naturally aspirated, 3.8-liter flat-six engine that hangs over the car's rear axle. A seven-speed manual and Porsche's own PDK transmission are the likely gearbox offerings.
Should the mental quickness and imposing wingery of the standard GT3 not be enough for you, future racecar driver, Porsche is also bringing a GT3 Cup car to Geneva. The German automaker has given just a few scant details about this Cup car - 460 hp on tap, a production run of just 2,400 units - including three images of the kitted out racer. Certainly more and finer details will emerge, when Porsche shines the spotlights on its new 911s tomorrow.

Our hats are off to Porsche's 2014 911 Turbo Cabriolets

Wed, 20 Nov 2013

Porsche has just debuted its two latest decapitated rocket sleds today at the LA Auto Show, the new 911 Turbo Cabriolet and Turbo S Cabriolet, which share their coupe counterparts' 520-horsepower and 560-hp 3.8-liter twin-turbocharged flat-six engines. That kind of power ought separate a lot of hats (and toupees!) from heads.
The rear-engined Porsches put their power down through all four wheels, which allows them to launch from 0-60 in 3.3 seconds or less (the Turbo S Cab takes just 3.1 seconds), and both of them top out at 195 mph.
The 911 Turbo Cabriolet starts at $160,700, while the Turbo S Cabriolet can be had for a grand total of $193,900 (plus $950 for destination). Is the S model's 40 extra horsepower worth $33,200? We're not so sure, but we imagine Porsche won't have any trouble selling it.

Gemballa reveals new Porsche 991-based GT convertible

Sun, 16 Sep 2012

Gemballa went through the ringer last year, but rebounded with products that signal a complete turnaround. The latest is the recently-released Porsche 911 Carrera S with a Gemballa GT aerodynamics and technology package. Aero-wise, it includes carbon fiber additions beginning with a front bumper wearing the classic Gemballa air intake design and a lower, angrier splitter. New side skirts run from wheel to wheel, the final piece being a rear bumper in three sculpted horizontal sections featuring a rear diffuser tucked between six rectangular exhaust tips.
No engine mods have been made, but the technology part of the tune - springs that are 30 millimeters shorter yet still able to work with the PASM system - is claimed to make the car faster. Bringing things to a halt is a new Brembo brake system hiding behind 21-inch GForged wheels that are lighter than Porsche's standard 20-inchers.
The Gemballa GT aero kit runs €19,860 ($26,070 U.S.), which includes paint and installation if you happen to be in Germany, and we're assuming that includes the suspension modification, brakes and sport exhaust. The GForged wheels are another €9,895 ($12,989 U.S.) depending on your choice of tire. Check out the press release below for more info, and the photo gallery above for all the angles.
