We are selling this 1966 Dodge Charger for a customer of ours. This 66 Charger has not been driven much in the past 5 years. It has a nice looking powder Blue exterior with nice Dark Blue interior. The drivers side bucket does have some usual wear ( See Pic ) also the dash looks very nice as do all the other panels. The out side has had a repaint due to thin paint and looks very nice. As you can tell by the pics the inner trunk extensions. floor boards, trunk floor and torsion bar crossmember are all really solid. The engine needs a tune up and it will be done by end of auction. Other than that it runs, drives and stops fine! We always get the question…Will this car make it to Sandusky Ohio or Salt lake city Utah? Well this is a nice driving car but it has been driven very little in last 5 to 6 years. So to answer the question…I would recommend trailering the car to your destination until you are comfortable with driving it coast to coast. This is a factory Air conditioned car that still blows semi cold air! The Tachometer works and speedometer works. I think the temp gauge does not. Car has bumper guards. has dual exhaust that is quiet. This is a mostly stock car that would make a very nice cruiser! Take a look at the pics…this is a solid car! eBay Find of the Day: Viper Defender from '90s TV show
Fri, 24 May 2013As car lovers, it's always hard to find a good television show with decent cars, but what the 1990s show Viper lacked in acting, scripting and plot, it more than made up for with cool cars. For starters, the lead car was a Dodge Viper RT/10, but, on screen, it was able to morph into its "Defender" mode making it an armored coupe with a full arsenal of weapons.
Fortunately, you don't have to be a fan of the bad show to love its lead car, and if you really want one, a Defender is up for auction right now on eBay. According to the listing, this car is the real deal - not a clone - and it comes with a V8 engine (not sure what happened to the V10?) and plenty of swag and memorbilia. No word on its actual asking price, but with a day left and 42 bids already, the reserve has not been met at $133,400. The listing does add that this same car was listed at Mecum back in 2010, but did not get sold, even with a bid of $270,000.

I started thinking about the "Gas Guzzler Tax" - considerably less well known as The Energy Tax Act of 1978 - when I was driving Dodge's new Challenger SRT Hellcat last week. Unsurprisingly for a car that can burn 1.5 gallons of gas per minute at max tilt, theoretically able to empty a full tank of premium in about 13 minutes, the Hellcat will be subject to the Gas Guzzler Tax schedule when it goes on sale.
Official USPS Muscle Cars stamps coming to a mailbox near you
Thu, 21 Feb 2013As much as our digital lives have cut down on our trips to the post office, there are still times that sending "snail mail" is necessary. With us car lovers in mind and philately in their hearts, the good folks at the United States Postal Service will introduce a new stamp design called "Muscle Cars" starting on February 22.
Designed by artist Tom Fritz, the new collection of stamps consist of five classic muscle cars: 1969 Dodge Charger Daytona, 1970 Chevrolet Chevelle SS, 1967 Shelby GT-500, 1966 Pontiac GTO and 1970 Plymouth Hemi 'Cuda. In addition to just the stamps, the USPS is also commemorating the new series with plenty of collectable memorabilia. Previous car-related stamps include 50s Sporty Cars from 2005 and 50s Fins and Chrome from 2008.
