I HAVE FOR SALE AN EXTREMELY ORIGINAL, CLEAN, SUPER STRAIGHT AND 100% RUST FREE 1969 FORD GALAXIE 500 CONVERTIBLE WITH THE ORIGINAL 390 ENGINE AND FACTORY AIR CONDITIONING, POWER BRAKES, POWER STEERING AND AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION. THIS IS AN ARIZONA CAR THAT WAS BROUGHT TO IDAHO IN 2001 AND HAS ALWAYS BEEN GARAGED, NEVER DRIVEN IN THE RAIN OR SNOW AND ONLY USED FOR CAR SHOWS AND PARADES. AN APPRAISAL WAS DONE ON THE CAR ON JUNE 24,2003. NEARLY ALL COMPONENTS OF THE CAR WERE RATED AS #2 CONDITION ON A 1-5 SCALE WITH 5 BEING THE WORST. ONLY 4,400 MILES HAVE BEEN PUT ON THE CAR SINCE 2003. IT HAS HAD ONE HIGH QUALITY REPAINT IN THE ORIGINAL COLOR. THE APPRAISAL CALLS IT A VERY PROFESSIONAL AND HIGHLY DETAILED JOB. THE APPRAISAL STATES THAT THE TRANSMISSION HAD RECENTLY BEEN REBUILT, THE TOP END OF THE MOTOR HAD BEEN REBUILT WITH A VISUAL INSPECTION OF THE RODS, CRANK AND OTHER BOTTOM END PARTS STILL IN EXCELLENT CONDITION. THERE ARE NO DINGS, DENTS OR SCRATCHES ON THE BODY, JUST A FEW MINOR ROAD CHIPS. THE TOP IS IN NEW CONDITION WITH A MINOR 1 INCH CUT THAT DOES NOT GO THROUGH TO THE OTHER SIDE. IT COMES WITH THE ORIGINAL NEW CAR DELIVERY BOOKS. IT HAS A SET OF GALAXIE GT WHEEL COVERS ON IT NOW WITH A PERFECT SET OF ORIGINALS INCLUDED. THE AIR CONDITIONING IS IN WORKING ORDER BUT NEEDS A RE CHARGE. THE ONLY ITEMS NOT WORKING ARE THE CLOCK AND THE FUEL GAUGE. Ford builds two-millionth EcoBoost engine
Tue, 17 Sep 2013Ford's EcoBoost engine lineup is only four years old, but it is growing into an important and popular global engine. As proof of its popularity, Ford just produced its 2 millionth EcoBoost engine - a 2.0-liter inline four-cylinder - which rolled off the assembly line in Louisville, Kentucky under the hood of an Escape.
Ford now offers five EcoBoost engines around the world ranging from the 1.0-liter inline-three to the twin-turbo 3.5-liter V6, and the automaker is expanding production of two of its engine lines to keep up with demand. Earlier this year, Ford announced that the 2.0-liter EcoBoost would be built in Cleveland, Ohio starting in 2014 and, more recently, Ford said that it will be doubling production of the 1.0-liter EcoBoost in Germany. That turbo-three will also be produced in China at a new Ford engine plant in Chongqing.

V6 engines will outpace V8s for the 2015 Ford F-150
Wed, 23 Jul 2014How times have changed. Even five years ago, who would have thought the mighty V8 would be just another engine choice for buyers of the 2015 Ford F-150?
Ford is projecting about 28 percent of the next-generation trucks will have the 5.0-liter V8. That's nothing to sneeze at, but consider this: Ford figures its two EcoBoost truck engines - the new 2.7-liter V6 and the existing 3.5-liter V6 - will also each account for about 28 percent of the F-150's sales (56 percent total). That leaves only 15 percent of the pie for the 3.5-liter (non-EcoBoost) V6. The new F-150 goes on sale late this year.
