1916 Model T Ford Roadster

For your consideration is this beautiful 1916 Ford Model T Roadster, collector’s car.  This Tin Lizzy has been stored inside by a collector for many years.  It has been lovingly restored and is in running/driving condition, clean CA title.  Below is a very detailed description of the vehicle:

Engine:

Engine number is May of 1915. The engine block has a one piece valve cover door and original Ford generator block off plate. The engine cylinder head is a “high head”.  The intake is high flow aluminum.  The transmission cover or “hogs head” is aluminum . There is no ring gear on the flywheel.   It has ribbed transmission pedals, magneto horn, and 3 dip pan.

Interior/Exterior:

The top is a single crowned rear window, material and lens are great condition.  Top bows are solid and fold for open touring.  The top is secured in top saddle mounts with leather straps.  Upholstery is in very good condition.  Door and kick panels show wear, as does the entire interior and exterior paint.  Windshield glass is safety, hinges and locks work great.

  Additional Details:

The front end has a double wish bone. Demountable 30 x 3 1/2 Montgomery Wards tires with spare rim and tire mounted on driver’s side running board.   Frame is punched for top and side firewall brackets. It has stamped running board brackets.  It has tapered leaf springs front and rear.  It has flat fenders, no crown, has lip on fronts with inside bead. Rear end has closed bearing spool, and no webbing on the rear backing plates. Turtle deck has flat locking levers.  Brass radiator has 3” flat core, three rivet neck, and made in USA on rear of front upper tank.  Hood is steel with six louvers and aluminum handles.  Steering box at top of column is brass, spark and gas levers are steel with flat ends.  Electrical system is a 12 volt wet cell in a battery box enclosure in turtle deck.  Ignition is original buzz coils with a timer.  Start on Battery with hand crank and can either leave on battery or switch to magneto for running. 12 volt battery has to be charges with trickle charger.  It has a separate 1915 switch on the firewall for a 12V taillight, with magneto headlamps, clear lenses.  A “Jenco” brake light switch is installed for 12V brake light.  Horn is original magneto.

This car is a joy to drive and own and would make any collector proud. I will assist with shipping worldwide.

Ford F-Series Super Duty prototype reduced to smoldering mess of aluminum and steel [UPDATE]

Mon, 04 Aug 2014

The most important bit of information you need to know after looking through our high-res gallery of images depicting a prototype 2016 Ford F-Series Super Duty pickup truck burning to the ground is that nobody was hurt. There were two engineers inside the vehicle when it caught fire, and both exited to safety.
That's the good news. The bad news is that the truck, which appears to have been testing in Death Valley, appears to be a total loss, minus, of course, whatever information Ford can glean from the conflagration - particularly tracing it back to its root cause. Besides that, we're also expecting the body of the next Super Duty to be hewn from aluminum, as is the case with its smaller brother, the brand-new F-150. Note the little aluminum droppings littering the roadway as apparent proof of that.
Our spy photographers report that it took just 21 minutes for the F-Series Super Duty to burn completely to the ground. The fire appears to have started in the driver-side front wheel well, spreading to engulf the entire front end in three minutes. We can't confirm the source of the blaze, but we're curious if the car's black vinyl cladding, meant to obscure the secrets within, contributed to the fire.

Ford vandalizes the SEMA Show floor with 2014 Transit Connect

Tue, 05 Nov 2013

The Ford booth here at SEMA is practically a 1970s throwback with all these customized vans sitting front and center. And we're completely fine with that. Take the black and yellow (black and yellow, black and yellow) 2014 Transit Connect from Mobsteel above. It's got a great stance, sits on steel wheels and has a pretty cool paint job and graphics package to boot.
Of course, that's not the only van you can see at the Ford booth. In fact, there are 10 Transit Connect vans on display from Ford here at SEMA, and you can see them all in our live gallery of high-res images above. Then, if you want to know more about each specific model, feel free to scroll down to read all about these vans in the official press release from Ford.

Fallon picks Ford F-150 King Ranch, launches dealership contest

Tue, 01 Apr 2014

New truck! Jimmy Fallon of The Tonight Show has been searching for the perfect new truck for a few weeks now, soliciting help from all corners in the process. Last night, Fallon made the announcement that the Ford F-150 King Ranch - in all of its cowboy glory - had been picked as his big winner.
To add some more spice to a storyline that now dips deeply into the realm of the advertorial, Fallon also announced a contest to see which Ford dealership would get the privilege of selling him the King Ranch. Dubbed "Fingers on a 4x4" The Tonight Show has invited 10 dealer reps from around the country to keep their hands on Jimmy's F-150 for as long as possible. Last salesperson standing wins.
Watch Fallon make his pick and introduce the dealer reps below, and be sure to click on the second video for a live-streaming feed of Fingers on a 4x4 in action (the contest seems to be going strong).
