T I PURCHASED THIS BRONCO IN JULY 2014 AND HAVE TITLE IN HAND. I JUST RECEIVED THE BRONCO FROM THE AUTO TRANSPORT A FEW WEEKS AGO AND HAVE NOT HAD TIME TO REGISTER THE VEHICLE IN MY NAME, HOWEVER I HAVE PROOF OF INSURANCE IN MY NAME, A NOTARIZED BILL OF SALE, EMAIL CORRESPONDENCE BETWEEN ME AND THE PRIOR OWNER, AND PROOF OF PAYMENT PROVING I PURCHASED AND OWN THE VEHICLE. NOT HAVING YET REGISTERED THE VEHICLE IN MY NAME MAY SEEM SKETCHY, AS IT WOULD TO ME, BUT IT IS ALL ON THE LEVEL. THIS TRUCK TRULY AWESOME AND PROFESSIONALLY RESTORED. IT RUNS SOLID AND DRIVES EASILY. VERY FUN WEEKEND CRUISER. THE ONLY REASON I AM SELLING IT IS TO RESTORE A BRONCO USING THE ORIGINAL COLOR. I HAVE NOT BEEN SUCCESSFUL IN DETERMINING THE ORIGINAL COLOR SINCE THE VEHICLE ONLY CAME WITH THE VIN (NO PAINT CODE) AND THE BRONCO IS PAINTED INSIDE AND OUT, TOP AND BOTTOM. THE PAINT WORK IS SO GOOD AND THOROUGH THAT I WOULD HAVE TO COMPLETELY DISASSEMBLE THE BODY IN ORDER TO COVER ALL THE BEAUTIFUL ORANGE PAINT. FURTHER, DESTROYING THIS KILLER PAINT JOB WOULD BE SAD TO DO. THEREFORE, I AM SELLING IT TO START WITH A BRONCO WHICH NEEDS PAINT. PLEASE EMAIL ME WITH ANY QUESTIONS. IF IT DOES NOT SELL THIS WEEK I WILL LIKELY KEEP IT AS I HAVE NEW DISC BRAKES, OEM STEERING WHEEL, STEEL WHEELS WITH STOCK BRONCO HUB CAPS, NV 3550 FIVE SPEED TRANSMISSION READY TO INSTALL. Ford doubling 1.0L EcoBoost engine production
Fri, 06 Sep 2013Ford's 1.0-liter EcoBoost three-cylinder engine hasn't been around that long, but it sounds like the engine is getting to be fairly popular in the automaker's global car lineup. The Detroit News is reporting that Ford has add a second shift that will allow its German engine plant to double daily output from 500 engines to 1,000.
The increased capacity is part of a plan to sell more than 300,000 vehicles a year with this engine in Europe by 2015. Europe is currently the only market where the smallest of the EcoBoost engines is offered (including in the Focus pictured above), but US-spec Fiesta models will be getting this mill for 2014.
Three-cylinder engines are expected to continue to grow in popularity in coming years with the report indicating that global production of these engines will double by 2018 to 9.8 million units. General Motors, BMW and Mitsubishi are all expected to introduce three-cylinder engines in the near term, as well.
2015 Ford Mustang renders reveal look of the real thing
Tue, 15 Oct 2013This is, according to the pony-car obsessed kids over at Mustang6G.com, the closest, most accurate rendering of the new, 2015 Ford Mustang to date. Artis Chazcron used a combination of Ford CAD images and information from assorted spy shots to assemble a fairly handsome car, albeit one that conforms to the tired cliché of being more evolutionary than revolutionary.
Now, it's very important to note that these are still speculative renders, and that they only represent the base car - that could explain the lack of the Mustang's vestigial side scoops, along with other, newer styling cues that Mustang6G seems to think will arrive on production models. Those items include a new, double-bubble roof, although the Mustang aficionados claim that even if it were present, it'd barely be visible from these angles.
The front end is pretty spot on, compared to what we've seen from earlier spy shots, while the tail, with its interesting light design is something new. The louvered taillights look quite different from the current version, obviously, though Mustang has gone the whimsical route with taillights before. Also, note the new rear diffuser uses an integrated reverse light and rear foglight, the latter of which is required for sale in Europe.
Ford hiring 800 more salaried workers than originally expected
Wed, 24 Jul 2013Ford is on a roll this year, with excellent quarterly earnings and better-than-expected vehicle sales leading to 800 more job opportunities with the Blue Oval. In January, Ford announced that it wanted to hire 2,200 salaried employees, but, since then, that figure has been revised to 3,000, representing a 36-percent increase over original projections. About 1,500 of those jobs remain, 80 percent of which are technical professional positions.
"Engineers and technical professionals are in as much demand as our cars, trucks and SUVs," says Felicia Fields, Ford Group Vice President for Human Resources. Helping to spur this job growth are increasing market share on both the West and East Coast and robust demand for the Ford Escape and F-150.
To find job candidates, Ford is reaching out to them via Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn, in addition to the company's corporate career site. The Blue Oval is also ramping up its presence on college campuses.
