Please email me with any questions or requests for additional pics or something specific at: fletcherfmmatteson@ukcool.com .
1981 Trans Am Y84, WS6 LU8 Has has had one high quality re spray, aside from that the car is in exceptional
unmolested condition with 44k miles. 100% dry Van Nuys built, strong #2 car in every respect. All original sheet
metal, floor pans, interior, glass, born in driveline. No scratches, dings, gaps are perfect. Non smoker car it's
entire life, the pics were taken with cell phone looks much better in person . The car has been stored properly and
enjoyed for shows it's entire life. Heavily loaded with over $4200.00 in options(window sticker was over $13,200!)
Recentely had over $8k worth of maintenance done including brake pads, rear discs, calipers, shocks, all rubber
hoses, water pump, AC compressor,PS pump,water pump,exhaust & valve cover gaskets,carb. oil temp gauge,tune,
service rad flush etc. Complete list included. Car has virtually every single piece of original (not copies or
PHS) documentation possible, which can't be said of 99% of others out there. Included are Build sheet(the second
sheet shown was found in this car but not for this car, three digits off not uncommon) two part dealer copy sheet,
retail installment contract, excise tax receipt, odometer statement, state inspection certificate, dealer sales rep biz
card, dealer maintenance folio, warranty card, delco stereo instructions, goodyear folder, GM maintenance schedule etc
etc. It has a 3" hole in the cardboard parcel shelf on drivers side in the corner, the ac works, but needs some
venting attention, and the disco boost gauge lights flicker, I chose to leave the original parts on there..that's it
for the bad. I've had several second gen birds over the last 40 years, other than the 79 SE I bought new this is
the tightest most original one of the bunch. Last year second gen, Last year Bandit SE. One sold last weekend at BJ
for over 70k. This car is a time capsule, and IMO the nicest original fully documented 81 SE WS6 Turbo you will find
at the price point.

Lutz says GM was working on 5th-gen Pontiac GTO
Thu, 08 Aug 2013Bob Lutz was one of the forces behind bringing the Holden Monaro to the United States, as the ill-fated Pontiac GTO in 2004. And while that car received critical acclaim, it was a sales disappointment. Now, Road & Track is reporting that our suspicions were correct - Pontiac was working on a two-door, G8-based coupe before it was shuttered.
In that R&T article, which is no longer available online, Lutz explained that the new GTO would solve many of the issues found in the original. Car Advice speculates that the new model would have look like a rebadged version of the Holden Coupe 60 Concept from 2008, a conclusion we also came to.
That car would have been a big departure from the 2004 to 2006 GTO. It has an extremely long hood and short rear deck, with an almost fastback roofline and a wide greenhouse with a tall beltline. The wheel arches were very pronounced, and the chin and rocker panel splitters gave it a race-ready look. Would it have been enough to make the GTO work in the US? We think it might of, but it looks like we'll never know.
1969 Pontiac GTO Judge vs. 2006 GTO, which Goat gets your vote?
Mon, 08 Sep 2014The Pontiac GTO was perhaps the most iconic muscle car of the '60s and early '70s. With its beefy V8 and color palette screaming for attention, it summarized in a single vehicle everything that made the era so appealing to many young people. Pontiac tried to collect just a few drops of that aura again in the 2000s with a revived GTO, but with decidedly mixed results. The performance was still there with its big V8, but the looks never quite lived up to the powertrain. Now, Generation Gap wants to know which of these Goats is the one to own.
Things are skewed immediately because the 2006 GTO here is a real ringer. It comes from famous tuner Ken Lingenfelter's collection, and it's a one-off example partially fettled by GM Performance boasting a twin-turbocharged LS2 V8 with a claimed 750 horsepower and a wide-body kit. This Goat definitely isn't what you're going to find just browsing for one to buy in the newspaper. Still, dip the throttle just a little, and this GTO pulls like a freight train. It's enough to turn the two hosts into giggling schoolboys behind the wheel.
The '69 GTO Judge here is also out of Lingenfelter's collection, but this one is all stock with a 400-cubic-inch (6.6-liter) V8 and a Ram Air hood for a claimed 366 hp. It might not have the unbelievable power of the turbo '06, but it makes up for it with style to spare.
NHTSA could add 1M cars to GM recall
Wed, 13 Mar 2013
The Detroit Free Press is reporting that the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration may expand a recall campaign for faulty brake lamps. The agency is currently looking into complaints that certain 2004-2011 Chevrolet Malibu models as well as some 2007-2009 Saturn Aura sedans may have brake lights that do not illuminate when the driver presses the pedal. Alternatively, the lamps may also illuminate without input from the driver. General Motors recalled 8,000 Pontiac G6 models from the 2005 model year for the same problem, and NHTSA is currently investigating whether to add 550,000 more G6 models built between 2005 and 2009 to the list for the same issue.
In addition, investigators are currently examining 97 complaints from Malibu and Aura owners with the same trouble. If NHTSA adds those models to the recall campaign, more than one million units could be covered. GM, meanwhile, says there have been no accidents or injuries as a result of the problem.
